Dance is a performing art form consisting of purposefully selected sequences of human movement. This movement has aesthetic and symbolic value, and is acknowledged as dance by performers and observers within a particular culture. Dance can be categorized and described by its choreography, by its repertoire of movements, or by its historical period or place of origin.

 

Rock the Dance Floor: Western Group Dance Competition

• Maximum One entry per college.

• The event will take place in 2 rounds, Prelims and Finals.

• The teams are required to send their Video Link for PRELIMS on this Email id : rudradancesoc@gmail.com , the teams will be shortlisted for finals and results will be declared on our Facebook Page : facebook.com/chetna2018

• Subject of the email should be:- "<College Name><Event Name><Team Leader Name>Chetna'18". 

• Minimum 5 and maximum 25 members in each team are allowed. 

• Minimum 5 and maximum 15 members are allowed on stage at a time.

• Teams should restrict their music track 6-10 minutes. Negative marking for exceeding the time limit.

• The track should be in proper mp3 format in Pen-Drive. 

• Teams will be judge on the basis of choreography, expressions, co-ordination, costumes& energy. 

• Slotting will be done on the basis of Chit Pull system.

• Decision of the judges will be final.

• More than one dance forms are allowed in one performance.

• Teams will be judge on the basis of choreography, expressions, co-ordination, costumes& energy.

• Slotting will be done on the basis of Chit Pull system.

                                 Zara Nach Ke Dikha: Street Dance Competition

​

• The dance style should be primarily a blend of Hip-Hop, Free styling, Break dance, Popping, Locking, B-Boying, Tutting, Waving and other funky dance styles.

• Minimum 4 and maximum 20 members are allowed in one team. 

• The Finals will contain 2 rounds- Showcase & Face off.

• Teams will show their performance & selected teams will go to the Face Off.

• Performance time limit is 5-10 minutes.

• The track should be in proper mp3 format in Pen-Drive. 

• It will be an open air event.

• Slotting will be done on the basis of Chit Pull system.

• Decision of the judges will be final.
